About me
Hi, I'm a self taught fullstack developer looking to expand further into the role of creative technologist. In my 10 years of industry experience in the branding and creative industry I've been thrown a varied array of challenges. I am particularly skilled at researching, specifying and implementing solutions to interesting problems.
I started as a Graphic Design graduate with limited css, php and html experience. I have self-taught myself into a position where I take responsibility for linnux sysadmin, development in a range of frameworks for different platforms - but specialising in php and javascript for the most part.
I love tinkering, learning new things, and doing anything that involves solving strange and unusual problems.
Some examples:
- Database design, API and Android app build for internal management of a travel agency
- One-dimensional mapping of three-dimensional colour data to create an aesthetically pleasing colour sort.
- WebGL effects implementation for reproducing refractive materials
- TVOS App development
- Writing a simple particle system in javascript using the canvas api
- Programming and assembling a simple arduino robot that was sent to the ISS as part of the ISSET programme for getting young people involved in STEM and space exploration.
