Dear Sir/Madam

I wish to apply for the position of Print Production Assisant, I was made redundant a year ago and since then I have worked as as Image Associate on a temporary contract for Fidelity Investment and more recently for a facilities company, but ideally I would like a role back within the print industry.

Before my redundancy I worked for Associated Newspapers in the print room as an Assistant Print Manager dealing with all printed matter for the company, outsourcing work and keeping to tight budgets, ordering stationery, paper and consumables for the department. I also raised purchase orders for the relevant departments and cross charged on a weekly basis and organised logistical movement of print for the company's satellite departments. We were the main support and contact for all Area Managers regarding printing requirements. Due to the restructuring of the company my department was made redundant.

I feel that I would be suited to this role as I have vast experience in printing, reprographics and print finishing, I have a good eye for detail and take pride in my work ensuring that all that all work is completed to a high standard. I also have experience in obtaining competitive print costs from outside companies without jeopardising quality or deadlines.

I consider myself to be a good communicator at all levels, I work well on my own or as part of a team.
