About me
Hello,
I am a freelance 3d Artist, specialized in the production of realistic 3D characters and
environements for films, games and commercials. In addition to focusing on 3d modeling, I have
good experience with texturing, shading, and lighting. Also, I practice traditional sculpture and fine
arts as you can see in my demo reel and in my website. I'm also a very reliable and passionate
person, in my work as in my life, and this always helped me to be courteous and professional to my
colleagues at all times.
My objective now is to become part of a structured team of highly talented people and continue to
develop my skills in 3d modelling as much as I can. For this reason I'm considering this opening as a
wonderful opportunity to join your company.
Thanks to my degree in Architecture and my work experience in Industrial Design I've developed a
strong spatial awareness and a good sense of scale and proportions helpful for not organic
modelling. Also in my most recent studies in Fine Arts I can rely on the same kind of confidence
with the organic modeling too.
In my most recent work experience, I had to model a very complex big environment for a short
film. The most challenging part was not only the modelling process itself, but also to prepare the
scene for the rendering stage. I was responsible for texturing too. This means I had to produce very
"clean" models to prevent an excessive number of polygons and very efficient UV layouts to reduce
the number of textures.
If you are interested in checking my references, I can provide contact information for you or even
letters of recommendation.
I am an Italian citizen and I live in Oxford so it's not a problem for me to start immediately to work.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact me at your
convenience if you would like to discuss my qualifications further.
Sincerly,
Matteo Sala
