About me
My name is Matt Saunders and I am currently looking for a new agency
to work for in London. I have spent the last two years establishing
myself in the Planning and Strategy department at Bristol agency True,
but am now looking to take my career to the next level at a new agency
in London.
At a relatively young age I'm what many people might consider
part of the up and coming population of digital natives. For me digital
is just a way of life, it's always been there, it's always
evolving, and it's impossible for me to think without the
influence of digital. Fortunately for me this way of thinking has led
me to play a key role in spotting opportunities for my previous
agencies and clients alike, and allowed me to take on much greater
levels of responsibility. Coupled with my new media mindset is now 2
years of planning experience that allows me to make the most out my
knowledge and skills.
My experience is extremely varied, from the likes of devising
long-term digital strategies to running specific research projects such
as focus groups and user testing. At my previous agency I was largely
responsible for the distribution of knowledge about the latest
developments in the industry throughout the agency, and would use my
knowledge to spot opportunities that I would often personally present
to clients. Furthermore, I got to display my creative abilities while
working closely alongside the creative department and getting involved
at all stages of the creative process.
In this day and age it's key that Planners and agencies are up
to date and on the cutting edge. You need to know the best way to
communicate to an audience at that specific moment in time, and then
what will replace it just months down the line. For me being on the
cutting edge is not just part of my job, it's a passion. I make
sure I know the latest trends and I'm living with the latest
technology. Furthermore, I play my part in the process via various
social media outlets, specifically via my blog trendplanner.com and
corresponding Twitter profile. Thanks to the very nature of the
Internet I'm now part of a network that isn't just
observing trends, they're creating them.
