About me
I am a likeable, hard working person with a good sense of humour and an equally good sense of responsibility. I am optimistic when faced with a task and will work to the best of my ability to ensure that it is achieved with the utmost professionalism. I have experience with working in a team and feel I am a valuable 'team player'. I am computer literate and know how to use most programs. I am especially versed in using Microsoft Word, and also know how to use the programs Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel, which I feel is essential for working in an office environment. Outside of work I have a very active social life and involve myself with a large group of close friends. I love listening to most types of music and favour rock especially. In 2005, I left my part-time job to concentrate on promoting bands and putting on my own gigs under the name 'Black Tie Promotions' with a couple of my closest friends. We showcase bands every week at Infernos bar in Welling, London. From doing this for over year, I have learnt to keep a level head in 'crazy' environments, what with some of the bands putting on a frenzied show, and the fact that it takes place in a bar, which as most people know can get pretty hairy at times! I have handled money in this job, and have taken the task of paying bands aswell as working closely with the landlord of the bar, making me learn to respect authority and to work efficiently to achieve personal and common goals.
Since 2004, I have become a freelance graphic designer, mostly dealing with local bands, promoting gigs for them across the country aswell as the gigs I organise in London, by creating posters, flyers and even a couple of E.P./album covers. A couple of these bands are signed, which will help me if I eventually decide to pursue a career in graphic design full time! From helping out certain bands I have managed to secure a few assignments for a record label called 'Anticulture Records'.
I have a vast knowledge of most types of music, aswell as films both past and present. I keep up to date with current affairs (I like to include watching TV shows in this category!) and am not afraid to make my opinion known in the right circumstances. I am outgoing, fun loving and mature.
I hope that this brief description has shown that I am a diverse, employable person and that from reading it you would consider me for a job in your workplace.
