About us

Matitegiovanotte is a design and communication atelier established in Forlì in 1986 by two young designers, Giovanni Pizzigati and Barbara Longiardi.

Our name was chosen for a simple reason: the love for the tools used for our work, pencils (“matite”), our young age (21 and 24 years) and the bond with the territory, Romagna, which uses the dialectal term "giovanotto" to refer to the boys and girls who are going to become adults.

It's been in 30 years since then, we were present in almost one hundred international design and communication pubblication, we won about ten awards (the first, an international one, in Amsterdam in 1992 for NonProfit campaign) and many short-list. “Matite” are increased and many creatives from Italy and abroad were “Matite” with us in Forlì. They contributed in our growth and our training.
