About me

I am a senior graphic designer/art director, freelancing both
in-house and externally since late 1999. Worcestershire based but
London born and bred, worked in a West End art & design studio
working up the scamps from the ad agencies to print ready
artwork.

I can design everything from a logo to a billboard, I have very good
print and pre-press skills honed over many years. I always supply high
quality work from Quark docs/photoshop layers/PDF files for
presentation to clients.

For the last four years I designed a monthly A4 48pp lifestyle glossy
magazine which went through over 15000 doors, pubs, restaurants,
libraries etc in Worcestershire [Worcestershire Now magazine, now sold
off and taken in-house].

I also designed the arts programmes and all print based projects for
the two venues we have in Worcester [Huntingdon Hall and The Swan
Theatre] for well over ten years.

As well as retaining a good mix of smaller, local clients, I do some
work in a website hosting agency designing the photoshop layers for
sites which they put up live and I send EBooks and PDF files to printer
FTP sites and correct proofs on their online systems.

Before going freelance I was a studio manager/senior art director for a
large mail order company in Worcester [Kay & Company, a division of
the GUS/Burberrys mail order publishing group], before that I was a
designer in a West End of London art studio, I am strong on
print/press/corporate ID/Logo origination etc. I Design magazines,
programmes, posters, banners, flyers etc to high res PDF, good at
conceptualising ideas and visuals, I take good digital photographs to
print ready quality, [still life, product shots etc], I am happy to
relocate/commute from Worcester if job is right.

I was in a London W1 Art & Design group for several years in the
early ‘80’s working up the ad agency
‘scamps’ so have a good feel for agency
aspirations, presentation etc and I freelance for a couple of good
Worcesrtershire agencies at present.

I have a CD of PDF files of recent work projects along with good
portfolio of print samples.
