About me
I recently graduated as a BSc with Upper Second Class Honours in Product Design & Innovation at the University of Strathclyde.
My degree course helped me develop an excellent knowledge of Product Design through an extensive range of design classes covering Product Development and Industrial Design, supplemented with significant study of Marketing and Branding, Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, and Entrepreneurship subjects.
In my honours year I undertook the design and development of a Home Flood Defence Barrier, for which I am actively pursuing a patent application in my own time. I also participated in a project with Hexagol, consulting on the development of their football training arena and designing training aids to enhance their product.
Design has always been my true passion, and throughout my life I have indulged my creative flair through my hobbies and through my education. I have always harboured a desire to be able to combine my love for sport with my career in design, and considered studying Sports Engineering at University. Similarly, I also gave considerable thought to studying Graphic Design. However, I opted to study Product Design, and I believe that this has allowed me to develop my understanding of a variety of fields.
I believe I am a focussed, dedicated, innovative and creative individual with an aptitude for both graphic and product design, and a very good understanding of the design process and product development.
