About me

I am currently producing, writing and directing short films, (latest of which is a £10k sci-fi horror chase adventure featuring CGI, visual effects and puppetry) whilst developing feature film scripts I have been providing video production work for corporate and marketing purposes and I am currently filming a small web series.

My professional acting experience covers many disciplines including voice acting, physical performance and character work so I can skilfully communicate with performers to get the desired results.

I have worked professionally as a Project Manager in marketing and the government so I understand project flow within environments outside commercial media. Obviously my short film making, video production and my time as an Office Manager/Assistant Producer with a games company, has also made me an effective strategist and planner for media production.

With me you get a producer, writer and director who's also an editor (Avid Media Composer). The biggest benefit is that I can make financial changes to the budget and keep the concept within its identity. I make things work. So the classic battle between the creative and the financial is mitigated somewhat with me. I am never short of ideas.

I am a massive film buff and I have a clear understanding of story structure/ beats, and excellent comprehension of genre.

I am a good listener and very perceptive. I understand what a project needs to succeed and the smartest way to attain its goal. I lead productions by setting clear goals i.e. what we are trying to achieve and what it will take to get there. Most importantly I listen to team leads and specialists. I tell them what I need and ask them how they could provide it - Is it possible

A problem solver - moving forward in a methodical approach. Once a problem or issue is found, it is there to be solved or corrected efficiently so we can attain the goal without repeating mistakes, moving beyond it to our goal.

I am a patient, warm, supportive and friendly character that is not afraid to speak his mind and face the difficult issues. At all times, though straight talking, I am diplomatic when dealing with people as I know that people not ‘systems' makes everything work. I also pride myself on being able to work with people to create the best product we can. The concept would come first. My job will be how to maintain the concepts identity and ability to engage and entertain within production boundaries and limits.
