About me
I am a highly experienced graphic designer looking for full-time work, preferably in an in-house hands-on management role.
I have had a wide range of experience; In-house and agency, print and web, PAYE and freelance / self employed. I have always worked from concept to finished article and anything in between. I have strong print skills with good knowledge of printing. I particularly enjoy catalogue/brochure and magazine work.
I have been freelancing successfully for the last 5 years but I am looking to settle with a long-term career position.
I have worked for a variety of companies, Blue-chip IT to Medical, and have held many different roles. I often work jobs from concept to print, taking responsibility for content accuracy (especially important on medical instructional documentation) and artwork signoff.
Recently I have worked for Leeds Trinity and All Saints and spent a number of months within Leeds Thomas Danby working on the 08-09 Prospectus, the student handbook and other student orientated documents.
Other freelance positions have been regular placements at prominent Leeds agencies such as Gratterpalm & Logistik. I have also worked in the Technical Graphics department at Mamas & Papas creating instructional illustrations and, before relocating to Yorkshire, a long stint at LEGO at their UK heaquarters in Slough.
With a high level printing qualification under my belt you can be sure that designing for print or communicating with printers is never a problem
