About me

Hi, I'm Martha. I have 8+ years' experience in advertising and creative agencies, and for the last 3 years I've been the lead art director on a key account for one of South Africa's largest advertising agencies, where I oversaw all creative and strategy on the account and successfully led a team of 6 creatives.

I have experience in digital design, social media, branding, packaging design, in-store, print and TV advertising. I pride myself on my attention to detail, layout and typography skills in particular, and I've also been up-skilling myself in UX design for the past few months.

From working on several retail accounts, I've learned to be highly adaptable and work in a very fast-paced environment on several big projects at a time.

I also have a background in marketing, which has always shaped my approach to design: aesthetics should always be driven by business objectives and consumer needs. That's also why I care less about shiny awards than I do about producing work that drives results.

I've recently relocated to the UK from South Africa, and I'm excited for the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team in the greater London area.
