About me
As a designer with strong skills in digital projects, branding, user experience and content, I'm interested in being considered for the graphic designer role posted.
What makes me an ideal fit for this role is my diverse skillset and proven work history. I've recently completed an intensive graphic design course at Shillington College, where I developed the practical skills of the design trade with hands-on education in print, web and interaction design, as well as branding, layout, typography, colour and design theory. What's more, In my most recent role as a digital advisor at the City of Calgary, I've established myself as a qualified digital and user experience professional as key team member on several large-scale web projects such as the City of Calgary's website re-design, a multi-million dollar project that launched in 2011 and earned national media attention as well as several awards. Creative innovation was an integral part of my job, and I was instrumental in improving digital presence and business processes across many of our lines of business. I left this role a few months ago to pursue focus on design full-time, and now I'm keen on taking the next step by securing a position where I can flex my creativity.
I have no doubt that my unique and vast skill set that would be a tremendous asset to any organisation looking to improve their digital presence. Furthermore, I'm creative, passionate and personable, making me a strong member of any team.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Martha Edwards
