About me

After growing up with my dad creating crazy holiday videos, my passion for creating video content grew in my teens with the ease of at home editing. Soon creating holiday videos myself, I found my enthusiasm for media drew me towards creating content for the motor industry and my place of work.

From word of mouth, I was given the opportunity to work on a few weddings, I love the creativity involved and the one shot chance to create a romantic story for each couple.

In 2019 after speaking to friends working in the wedding industry I decided to take a leap into the world of videography professionally setting up Mark Newman Media. I aimed to provide great content for weddings, special occasions and corporate or community work.

In 2020 Covid-19 forced many people to adapt their ways of working and with little wedding work available I became one of them. I was approached by a few schools requesting video tours, I reached out to more schools in the area and with word of mouth my tours snowballed into my fully taking off.

I am an enthusiastic individual with great design fundamental skills including colour & contrast, white space, visual hierarchy, complexity vs simplicity and consistency & scale. I have over 15 year's experience working within the motor industry for BMW, MINI and Ford. I have over 4 years' experience working in a marketing

environment as a lead designer, managing social media, photography and videography.

I was made redundant in December 2019 due to office relocation and started my own business as a

videographer in September 2020. I am looking for some extra freelance work to top up the gaps

in between work or a secure, exciting position to return to full time work.
