Freelance Graphic Designer

Since my redundancy in June 2010, I have made the decision to continue my design work as a graphic design freelancer. This means my customers still get the high quality of work they now expect from me, and I'm more than happy to provide this. Many of my customers are clients from my previous employment, and they are very happy to continue to have me produce their artwork. I have also acquired new customers, as my good reputation builds and grows. I hope to continue to provide a high level of designed artwork.

Skills

I am an enthusiastic and professional individual, who enjoys being part of, as well as leading, a successful and productive team. I am quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems. I am able to work on my own initiative and can demonstrate the high levels of motivation required to meet the tightest of deadlines. I am now looking to build on my extensive range of skills within a suitably challenging role. I am keen to achieve further professional development. , Since my redundancy in June 2010, I have made the decision to continue my design work as a graphic design freelancer. This means my customers still get the high quality of work they now expect from me, and I’m more than happy to provide this. I have acquired new customers, as my good reputation builds and grows. I am currently using Adobe Creative Suite 5.

Sector Experience

My involvement in the design of artwork for various clients has increased dramatically in the past ten years, these designs can range from attractive business cards to multi-page glossy brochures - complete with colour-specific company identities - to help the client stand out from the crowd. I have also become heavily involved with logo design for local businesses which involves working closely with a range of different people and organizations from small to large business for rebrand and business start up design. In addition to that already mentioned, responsibilities also included quality control of print, stock control within the pre-press department and total responsibility for the smooth running of a state-of-the-art digital press, computer-to-plate system and plate processor., I regularly use many standard packages on a very regular professional basis; I am highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5and QuarkXpress
