About me
Born in the Windy City, raised in Silicon Valley, and spent much of my career in San Francisco before moving family back to the Midwest in 2017.
Started my first business at 18 and been a freelancer or studio director for decades, with a few sidetracks into startup land.
I redesigned some of the world's biggest websites for San Francisco-based tech media giant CNET in the early 2000s, and when told I could choose what my business cards read, decided on the title Design Guy.
I was Fitbit's first designer and helped build the company to become a household name. I've helped numerous other startups take their first steps toward superstardom.
I work with a lot of nonprofits because I want to leave future generations a better world.
