About me

Hey, I'm Mark. Or some call me Slack. A freelance creative and creative director from London. I started life as an illustrator dabbling in animation. I started to become more interested in the idea behind the commissions I was gettting and moved into art direction. Where I could work with so many more talented people than me, flexing my ideas across film, print, digital, products and the events space. I love bridging the strategy to a creative platform that connects with people or a behaviour.
After 15 years in advertising and design agencies I hopped across to broadcast and worked for the BBC and Channel 4. Tapping into fandom and popular culture. I now freelance with the best agencies and broadcasters across London and the world. Regulars include BBC Creative and Uncommon Creative Studio.
I know how to grow a team as well as an idea. Being parachuted into agencies has meant I've had to quickly learn how people tick (and get ticked off!). But most of all, how to get the best out of them. I prefer to present the ideas I've created as I know them inside out and can talk to a zoom or a boardroom.
