The arduous task of the inevitable client Christmas card is one most creatives dread. It is always a challenging process to appease both internal and external expectations. More often that not it serves as gratutious self-promotion without the adulation we all crave.
Last year, the task was a lot more fun. What better place to conceptualise than over a cold beer and pub lunch – a fertile breeding ground to conceive last years little gem, the Christmas Cocktail Book. A tidy little A6 DM / self-promtion doubling as one almighty festive celebration. One that not only tells, but gives in abundance.
The idea is a derivative from some old-world classics, twisted, shaken, and customised to mirror the spirit of our entire team. Each cocktail reflecting the name, quality and personality of our staff members. Beautifully crafted with a combination and elegant typography, witty copy, detailed illustration with a refined monochromatic colour palette. With all pages really easy to enjoy.
Originally developed as only a smaller A6 mailer, it was hard to stop the party. We continued into the wee hours of the night, getting carried away to produce a range of posters and branded digital materials, including personalised desktop and screen savers.
