About me

In my current role as Senior Curriculum Developer / Lead Instructional Designer, I am responsible for the

compilation of e-learning courses and classroom instructor manuals/student guides across a wide range of

topics, from ROV piloting and Technical Training, to HSE and Competency.

I created the current e-learning templates used throughout all of my current employer's online LMS courses

worldwide (currently 8200 employees), and have currently completed a training package for all offshore

managers and supervisors to partake in Globally, due to the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

I use Adobe Flash CS5.5 (to AS3 programming level), articulate, 3D Studio, and Captivate, along with

Adobe's e-learning suite to create, animate and publish what are considered some of the best online

learning materials in the industry. My position often entails travelling to various worldwide sites to

interview subject matter experts, photograph and video machinery, and host online WebEx meetings.

I have worked for over 13 years in a multi-classroom training environment and have compiled over 165

technical training and procedural manuals and managed teams of offshore engineers, SMEs, and

publications staff to create the aforementioned manuals and online training courses. I like to fully

understand and immerse myself in whatever projects I'm given, that way, even as a novice on a topic I can

understand what is required, and what level of Blooms or Kirkpatrick's taxonomies are applicable to

enable the students to get the most from their e-learning experience.

I have created a full project management system with process mapping, customized ADDIE model, and

confidence based learning and competencies/on the job training to allow my team to get the most from

our subject matter experts, accurately and on time.

In my previous position as technical publications manager, I was responsible for creating their online

training system which encompassed training courses that were used by offshore oil industry personnel for

companies such as: BP, Shell, Agip, etc. in a worldwide capacity.

I have also created the paper co-dependents to these courses in various dual format languages such as:

Malaysian, Russian, and French incorporating dual language illustrations and glossaries with the help of

professional translators.

In creating the above, I mainly used Adobe creative suite tools and adobe captivate / articulate to create

online courses and exams that were traceable and uploaded into a learning management system and

stored as loggable data. I also created presentations in PowerPoint, 3D studio animations and

representations/cutaways.
