About me

Dear Sir/ Madam. My name is Mark Newman and I am currently Assistant
Manager of a large repro house and am looking for work as a high end
retoucher / creative artworker. I have been in pre press/ repro all my
working life and have an exceptional understanding of the print process
and digital imaging. I am an expert in Photoshop(have taught teams of
designers and held seminars for photographers) and quark and a
experienced user of indesign and illustrator. I can produce print
readyartwork to an excellent standard but am not a trained designer.
Our customers, because they are large mail order catalogues are still
using old software so I need to branch out to reduce the chances of
losing my current skill sets and to learn new things to keep my maximum
potential. I am a senior mac operator and here we have full
photographic and reprographic services so I am used to seeing images
and jobs through from capture to final print.I realise that repro
operators are a dying breed so I'm looking to get into high end
retouching or creative artworking. I know I can do it, I just need a
break! I have lots of experience in managing staff and have
experience in press passing and project management.I'd love to speak to
