About me
Born in Vancouver, British Canada, then later moved to Staten Island, New York, Mark N Tompkins excelled in painting and began a successful career in matte painting only after graduating with a Bachelor's degree at the Capilano University. Pursuing his passion in painting has always been his dream, but concerned about his personal wealth, he also tried his hand with acting.
Once the decision was made, Mark N Tompkins began working seriously on his acting career, and around the same time he launched his career as a television and film actor. Over the next few years he continued appearing on screen, leaving behind a number of memorable roles. And as he grew, so did his desire to push forth more serious fare.
Landing more parts in bigger, Hollywood production movies was troublesome for Mark N Tompkins, but fortunately his popularity grew in the matte painting area, when he was spotted by a film director. By the time he was 30, Mark N Tompkins had already made a career for himself in movie background painting, and was enjoying worldwide popularity. Both viewers and critics positively responded to his artwork, and that gave him the creative freedom to choose projects that better suit him or a closer to his heart for one reason or another.
Starting with classic horrors like 'Final Destination' to 'Alien V Predator', he underwent to Sci-Fi movies like 'I, Robot' and 'Elysium'.
