About me

For the past two years I have been working at Pennant Information Services as a Graphic Designer, based at their e-learning office in Manchester. I work on briefs for the MoD (Ministry of Defence), UKHO (United Kingdom Hydrographic Office) Fujitsu Services and The Christian Group; Synergy. The work can be varied and organisation is key. I organise work from the brief to the printing which includes explaining and elaborating on designs with work collegues and clients. I amend work and negotiate with the printers with regard to deadlines and cost, and check that paperwork is up-to-date. I work on large and small formats and am always 'switched on', demonstrating my creative flair throughout. I have an adept understanding of various formats within the Graphics' Industry. I am computer literate on Apple Mac and PC, and proficient in all areas relating to graphic programs. Previous work experience has involved working and communicating directly with the general public, bringing confidence to my work and in myself. As a naturally creative person, my understanding of effective visual communication has developed and matured. I work within a team developing and implementing corporate identity campaigns. This involves extensive research through discussions with clients, their marketing departments and utilisation of the Internet. I work on a daily basis alone on Apple Mac and PC computers, creating Exhibition Stands, Pop Up Graphics, Banners, Posters, Annual Reports, Datasheets.
