About me

I have over four years' experience in graphic design, which I gained while co-founding ‘and multimedia and graphic design ltd' in the second year of my degree and through freelancing afterwards. ‘and' was co-founded with three multimedia designers and its aim was to provide all design services under one roof to maintain branding consistency for clients.Over the past few years I have gained valuable hands on experience in many aspects of the job such as meeting clients initially to discuss a brief, generating concepts, presenting and explaining these to the client for feedback, making amendments to the client's requirements, liaising with suppliers and preparing the final work for print. I worked with various types of clients from SMEs (RPM Fitness, Five Nines Solutions) to large public and private institutions (NEWI, Leeds City Council, Roche) and have been managing projects from start to finish. I have also had the chance to see and have some involvement in the design process for a few websites, CD ROMs and DVDs and to mentor a few juniors on placement. Preparing proposals, quotes, invoices and other company correspondence related to projects were also part of my day to day duties.Technically, I have excellent knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark and InDesign and I am competent with the use of Flash. I can also work well on both Mac and PC.Having gained from this experience I am now looking for new challenges and a new team to be part of to work with, to take on the extra workload, share my ideas and experiences with and to learn from.
