Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you to apply for the Designer/Illustrator role as advertised on *

Currently, I am a London based Illustrator and Designer. Throughout my last employment I worked as an in-house designer, creating web pages, icons, emails, theatre screens and graphics for video editors. As well as this I have experience with retouching photography. I have also designed and prepared some print materials from concept. By being involved in many different areas, I've learnt to be flexible in styles, to manage my time well and to be a fast learner. During this period of employment I enhanced my skills in the use of Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suites. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of a creative team and relished the experience of working in a professional environment.

Having completed a BA in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University, my strengths and the foundation of all design still lies with my illustration. I enjoy drawing and physically visualising ideas before I take them onto a computer. I believe my degree prepared me for the challenges faced whilst working in this environment and an eagerness to learn more.

As a freelancer, I have also learnt to be organised, self motivated and always ensured to remain active. I have worked with a fashion designer, Jessica Reece to establish her business identity as well as promotions for several non profit organisations. That includes my recent involvement in Magnify which is a magazine with a heart to empower women in the modern world. Outside of my working hours,I look after a group of young creatives and set them various creative projects. These has been a challenge as it requires a lot of organising, planing and people skill, yet it has been rewarding as I truly enjoy working with a variety of people in order to produce something good.

I am confident that I am capable and enthusiastic for whatever I get involved in. I believe I have skills and a character that will be an asset to your company.
