About me
Since graduating with a B.A. in Fashion in 2011 from NOVIA University of Applied Sciences in Finland, I have gathered roughly 1 year of experience in the fashion industry. I founded my own company; TrendSportation Design & Consulting in the fall of 2011 and ran the company on my own for 5 months and then decided to freeze everything for a shot at life in London. During my few months in business I generated great feedback and a surprising amount of clientele - with absolutely no marketing!
Through my company I completed various design projects including the AW12-13 collection (trend research, tech packs, toiles, sourcing and patterns) for Andrea G Design in Stockholm, (*), the logo for Marea; Multi Marine Services, bespoke garments, customized birthday presents, tattoo designs and paintings to name but a few.
In 2009 I interned at a small atelier in Finland for 2 months, assisting the owner/designer with bespoke garments and was put in charge to expand her own line with new products.
In 2010 I co-designed the fall collection for Micky London in New York City, USA during a 3-month long internship. In my most recent venture I assisted the Product Developer at Christopher Raeburn here in the U.K. for 2 months, with developing the technical packages for SS13- production.
My area of expertise includes CAD-work (tech packs, specs and illustrations/prints), freehand illustrations, product development, trend research, patternmaking and sewing.
Skills
My area of expertise includes freehand drawing, oil painting, CAD-work (Adobe Creative Suites CS5, CorelDrawX2-X4), illustrations, product development, trend research, patternmaking and sewing., I have great communication skills and am not afraid to ask if I am feeling unsure about something. I am a people-person who generally enjoys making new aqcuaintances and contacts no matter the field they are in. In addition to this, I possess very strong work ethics and expect nothing less from my team members. I support and promote a healthy and cheerful working environment as I believe that to be the key to any corporations success! Happy team - Great products!
