Dear Hiring Managers:

I want to express my interest for the role of Production Assistant. I am a MetFilm MA graduate and Marketing Executive seeking to work in Film Production/Directing with strong knowledge and experience working in multiple Direction, Production/Runner roles on and off set, across Mexico and the UK.

In my current role as Marketing Executive and Video Producer at Cosmonauts Ltd, I manage and coordinate events for clients which includes scheduling the entertainment for the day to ensure the event runs smoothly, budgeting, booking venues and equipment, organising the catering and overseeing the set up and clear up of the event. In my role, I also produce crowdfunding and promotional short form content for clients and I coordinate and often self-shoot and edit the videos using Premiere Pro, for smaller company clients.

As part of my role, I support the Marketing team with basic admin tasks such as minute taking, booking rooms for client meetings, searching for sponsors, managing the team inbox and answering telephone calls from clients.

At Warner Bros TV / Ricochet Ltd Productions, I interned as a Production Assistant/ Office Runner where I would assist the Production team with tasks such as checking contracts for shoots, writing call sheets, scouting for locations and carrying out research for prop hire and rental. My day to day tasks in the role also included admin and runner duties, such as ensuring the refreshments were stocked, keeping the office tidy and presentable, answering emails and telephone calls, minute taking during meetings and contributing to pitching sessions specifically for the food TV networks.

Across my BA at University of Sussex, my MA at MetFilm School and my Raindance Producer's Foundation Certificate course, I gained some excellent experience budgeting, writing, casting, directing and producing short form student productions, plus co-creating a small production company "Somnia Films", which involved managing budgets, organising and scheduling shoots, writing up contracts, call sheets and risk assessments, collaborating with team members both on and off set including working closely with editors and scouting for cast and crew members.

I am a highly organised, creative, detail-oriented worker who is a fast learner and enjoys challenges to push myself professionally and exceed expectations. I am confident my skills and professional experience would make a strong contribution to the team.
