About me

My name is Margherita Cirri and I am a passionate Creative Video Editor and Filmmaker.

I will try to be the shorter and comprehensive as I can be.

I have studied Video Design and New art Technologies in Milan, italy in Isitituto Europeo di Design Univeristy. Here I have managed to learn and create as much s I could as a audiovisual storyteller. I learned to film, edit, produce and finally finded my place in the audiovisual industry and how could would I be best in improving this world.

After my undergraduate degree ( graduated with grade 110 over 110 realizing a Social Campaign on ALS disease) I started working for h-films production company in Milan. h films is one of the best adv production company in Milan and here I learned how production is really what makes the most out of a film. I learned to fulfill directors needs, give shape to their ideas by helping them with their treatments, used my creativity to find new locations, organized budgets and castings and finally put all of this together and ran through sets, always being one step behind of the director and technicians needs with my mind an body fully on.

In the following years I have then decided to work as Filmmaker and Producer as a Freelance for several projects and I have collaborate in a more fix way with a lot of Adv. agencies. In September 2018 I have started my experience as Creative Video Editor for Vice Italy. Here I was responsible of create and edit videos that could have a strong impact on users about politics ( in a satiric way) and everyday important facts as feminicide.

From that moment on I have learned to manage my work in two ways. One as a Creative filmmaker and editor, where my creative skills and capacities comes out as editor, music lover and everyday exercise to improve my animation and graphics skills. The second way is as a Producer. As a producer not only do I know all the creative side of the work, but also I know how to simplify it and make it a pleasant time, even in rush times, up at dawns and when last minute problems occurs. Here is some of the experiences I had as P.A ( Miles Kane Music Video "Killing The Joke", "Condor" Tv series from Netflix , Stefano Lodovichi's Short Film Artes, Ferragamo "Unexpected Florence Ad etc.) and as Editor/Filmmaker (Part-time video Editor for Vice Italy, Semaine Uk, Officel Hommes Korea, Four Seasons Florence, Sky Arte Documentary "Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Kasia Fudakowski Short Film, etc).

I am an international personality and can perfectly speak and write English, French and Italian and I am now taking Spanish Lessons and have good level. I am handy with a camera ( know how to use Sony a7s, Canon 5d mark III, Panasonic GH4 etc.) and know Software such as:

- Adobe Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)

- Final Cut 7

- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
