About me

Margeir Dire Sigurdarson was born in 1985 in Akureyri, Iceland and currently lives in Barcelona, Spain.

He studied fine arts at the Vocational school in Akureyri, Akureyri School of fine arts, Lahti institute of fine arts and art direction in IED Barcelona.

Margeir has held 7 solo exhibitions, been apart of over 20 group exhibitions and many live painting shows and festivals.

His paintings consist of Oil, Acrylics, Spray paint and range of diverse materials.

The paintings are what he explains as “Absorbism” which characterizes in rhythmic lines, clear forms that create a figurative concept and symbolic gestures. His inspiration includes the nature of the world, music, streetart, people and their stories
