To Whom It May Concern,
Please find attached CV for the position of Junior Editor.
A recent graduate of the Arts University Bournemouth, I have dedicated the past few years of my life embroiled in every aspect of film-making, specialising in editing in the last two years of the course. I have gained a lot of experience editing from fiction to corporate whilst I was there, and have extensive knowledge within Avid, Premiere Pro, FCP and After Effects. I also attained my Avid 101 certificate and was taught basic compositing under the tutelage of Jonathan Turner (Gravity, Guardians of the Galaxy).
Most recently I have been a Junior Editor working at an independent TV advertising production company, which has given me a ground understanding of editing within a client setting.
I have been an assistant editor on a short fiction (Little - RTS Winner) and because we are tasked with the duties of covering every facet of post-production I am confident in my abilities in the post-production process. I have also DIT-ed on location and on set, and feel this is has informed my work as an editor.
