About me

Marcelo is an Argentine illustrator and graphic designer, with extensive experience in carrying out design and communication projects, currently residing in Bielefeld, Germany.

He is a passionate and curious professional, with a solid technical background and excellent performance in audiovisual software. His specialty is digital illustration in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.

His art is always characterized by a conceptual search and the representation of figurative characters and scenes, with a special interest in finishes and details. His illustrations stand out for the creativity of his compositions and for his great handling of color.

As an illustrator, he has a main advertising profile and has worked directly for prestigious advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett and Geometry Global. He has made illustrations for printed and animated advertising campaigns. He has also done illustrations for branding projects and for alternative movie posters.
But he also has publishing experience, since his work has been published in some illustration books. He also has extensive experience working for the communication of newspapers and publishers in Argentina as a graphic designer.

These are some of the brands he has worked for Coca-Cola, Citibank, Adidas, UNHCR, BBVA, Sony, Discovery Channel, Danone, Clarín, Penguin Random House, and National Geographic.

His main experience has been working as an art director at YENKO, the studio he founded in Argentina in 2008 and where he worked until 2023.

As for his personal life, he is married to Melisa and is the father of 3 little dragons. Although he lived all his youth in the city of Buenos Aires, he currently lives with his family in Bielefeld, Germany, surrounded by forests and nature. He loves classic movies and bike rides. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring and customizing vintage furniture and objects.
