Dear Sir/MadamMy name is Marc Nicholls; I'm a Product Design graduate of 2008 from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. I am proficient within 3D Cad modelling software such as Alias StudioTools, Solidworks and 2D AutoCad producing production drawings and visualisations. I'm also proficient in Adobe Cs Photoshop Illustrator and Indesign etc. I can learn new computer programs quite easily. I thoroughly enjoy getting fully involved in model making, sketching, brainstorming and group discussions. I can say I thrive on being within design environments where I can fully express myself and ideas, working individually and as part of a team. I have great interest in not only Product design but also Art, Furniture, Architecture and Photography. I am currently living in Cardiff and for the past six months I have been working at the Manufacturing Engineering Centre, Cardiff University, as a Rapid prototype technician. Here I've been helping manage a prototype laboratory producing models for designers and manufactures around the globe. Responsibilities have included checking the consistency of quality against STL files using Cad software, making sure all parts are run and delivered on time as well as general maintenance of the Lab and highly expensive prototype machinery. I have also been supervising exchange students from Turkey and France here to learn a little more about the process. Unfortunately my time here has now drawn to a close though I can say I have gained most valuable experience.I'm a hardworking creative individual with a constant drive and ambition to do well in life. Since graduating I have completed two point of purchase projects for two leading companies based in London and Leeds. At the same time I've been continuing to scour the country to get my feet firmly on the career ladder. I'm very eager and now looking for a fresh role I can get thoroughly stuck into starting from ground level and working my way up. Relocating would not be a problem.
