About me

I am a well rounded IT professional with over 7 years experience working in both the public and private sectors.
My professional experience gained from roles working as an IT Technician/Administrator include; working with server and client side technologies . I am proficient in working with Windows Server, Exchange Server 2003, 2007 and 2010, Snow Leopard Server OSX. I have some hands on experience of working in a virtualized environment with VMWare VSphere and possess experience with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Switches via the IOS operating system.
In addition to the skills that I have gained professionally this is greatly aided by a strong educational background in Information Technology. I have previously studied IT at College and Degree level which covered many disciplines such as web development, multimedia, graphics design, systems strategy and systems hardware. In 2010 I gained a 2.1 classification in Information Systems from the University of Huddersfield which included modules in Business, Software Development, Advanced Web Programming, Soft Systems Methodology, Usability and Modelling and Prototyping.

I passed my first industry qualification which was the MCTS - Configuring Windows Server 2008, Active Directory in 2012 and am currently studying towards my CCNA.

I thrive on working in a challenging environment, I enjoy learning new skills whilst helping a business succeed by enabling staff members to use systems effectively maximizing their productivity in the work place. In addition to possessing technical skills, I understand many business processes from studying business during my tenure at University and approach many tasks with an end goal in mind of it benefiting a company from a business perspective.
