About me

An introduction to me. Some say I'm a leader, some say I'm creative and think ahead of the pack. I am a very driven individual, with much passion & once i believe in something, I'm going to devote every piece if me till its a success. I'm a recent graduate of class 09/12, where I studied advance sports science and teaching. University to me besides the education was a means to networking and meeting cultured people across the board, university gave me the willingness to spark new relationships with people I would have never met if I didn't attend. Moreover it gave me the basis for leadership, organisation and discipline; overall the experience invoked a sense of direction in my life.

A turning point for me was during university when myself and friends put together a live performance of artists, comedians and other forms of acts, and having to brand and market/advertise the event on your own accord, this particular experience was what made me decide that I wanted to work with musicians and other acts, unfortunately I was unable to change my course at the time.

I have worked in retail sales in the past, selling casual and smart wear, as well as home furnishings. In my experience at Carphone Warehouse I led a Team of six in the sales department, and was responsible for the training of new staff on the shop floor and cash handling procedures. I also played a key role in admin, in which I was responsible for making sure cash loss was kept to a minimum among cashiers, I carried out the cashing up of tills, and I completed banking paperwork and generated reports as executed banking of the stores day to day takings. I have also been involved in several projects in which as a team we refurbished stores to a whole new look. During my time working for these various companies I found it easy to take on more responsibility than others, because I applied the same framework/mentality to the one I had while I was at university when dealing with the pressures of deadlines. The skills I picked up during my experience such leadership, organisation, being professional and thinking on my feet will aid me during my internship, toward the completion of day to day tasks.

Perhaps you've had a string of cover letters from applicants for this particular role. But I know I am the right person for this. I am very dedicated and motivated. I give nothing less than my all and have always been a key player in implementing management's plans for departments.

Skills

I would say i have many skills acroos the bord which represnt me as a person. I am very hardeowrking, i am not shy of hardwork, and getting my hands dirty if need be. I am also a very determind and sufficent invidual driven by success, i hate coming in 2nd place. Moreover i have skills such as leadership, i have lead a crew before and taken on huge responsibilties. The skills I picked up during my experience such leadership, organisation, being professional and thinking on my feet will aid me during my placement.
