My name is Maitena Fernandez Gonzalez, I am from Bilbao Spain. I have recently graduated in contour fashion design from DeMontfort University.

I have recently moved back to UK after working for Ion Fiz, one of the top ten designers in Spain.

We recently went to Mercedes-Benz Madrid fashion week with his 10th anniversary collection; Fizissimo Fall/winter , as well as Valencia fashion week with Serie B by Ion Fiz Fall/winter collection .

The Design house also had the privilege to showcase a fashion show in the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.

Part of my duties while working for him was the CAD aspect of the design company; such as the illustration of Gissepo Shoes Company by Ion Fiz, the t-shirt illustration for the 15th Anniversary of the Guggenheim museum and the company Dossier.

My other duties consisted of being on the production line, where we hand grade women's outwear for well-known Spanish brands such as "El Corte Ingles". The company also has gone global reaching Russia, Asia, North America and parts of Europe.

Some of the skills that I have acquired in my Contour Fashion Design degree are;

-HAND DRAWING FASHION ILLUSTRATION IN MIX-MEDIA.

I believe that I am a very creative individual with passion for all art disciplines; from classic masters to fashion couturiers. Furthermore I have been taking drawing lessons since I was six years old until I came to England, 8 years ago, which opened my design creative side.
