About me

BSc Biology graduate, conservation volunteer, climate activist, artist, writer, translator (RU-EN-ET). Passionate about science, art, sustainability and equality. Actively looking for work, especially in the fields of climate change strategy, policy or campaigning, as well as publishing, journalism, illustration and science communication-related roles. My dream is to work on climate change mitigation strategies, deep adaptation and the creation of sustainable communities, and my general mission is to make the world better.

At the moment I am a self-employed freelancer. I write and translate articles for feminist opinion portal Feministeerium and take illustration commissions for individual clients. Previous experience includes facilitating a creative community science outreach project, working to improve sustainability and student wellbeing at a students' union, designing and curating a new social media and communications strategy for Social Impact Lab and working at the NHS on a strategic project to help underrepresented groups have their say in healthcare research.

What I can bring to your company: excellent attention to detail, lateral thinking, prolific brainstorming, rigorous research skills informed by scientific training all combined with a fresh, creative mindset. If I have a passion for the subject of the work, I will be unstoppable. I can also offer my event organising, interpersonal and public speaking, facilitation and presentation skills, as well as kindness and empathy for others. I value this very highly and seek socially responsible employment.

I am open about being autistic and I hope that the people I work with will accept that and find positives in having a colleague whose brain is somewhat different from the norm. As a student I founded University of Southampton Neurodiversity and Disability Society, which has become an important group for disabled students' self-advocacy, peer support and friendship. I hope to make the world more accessible by advocating for myself and others.

In my free time I like to draw, develop indie games, cycle, garden and pet fluffy animals. I also try to save the world by partaking in conservation volunteering, Covid-19 mutual aid and climate activism.

Interests: sustainability, climate change, writing, science communication, healthcare, public health, human rights, animal rights, disability, neurodiversity, mental health, art. I am especially interested to work with charities, social enterprises, government bodies or the NHS on strategic projects that will make a tangible difference. #OpenToWork!
