This letter is to express my interest in discussing the Fashion Designer position posted on creaticepool.co.uk web site.

The opportunity presented in the listing is very appealing, and I believe that my strong designing experience and education will make me a suitable candidate for this position. I have five years of designing experience.

I first embarked on my fashion design career working at Marcelino for two years, creating and designing the casual wear line for women.

Following that, my passion for the industry encouraged me to broaden my experience and branch out into a different company, Charanga, where I worked as a Senior Manager and Fashion Designer for the junior line during three and a half years. During this productive time I have evolved into a leading professional in my field having learnt and mastered the necessary diverse skills my job demands.

My responsibilities and initiatives included extensive research in order to understand and remain up to date on the latest designs, colour preferences , and trends by closely studying sources such as “Promostil”, “Cutipie” or “Mudpie” and surfing the web with fashion web engines like “WGSN”. As part of my research, I was often sent to the world´s fashion capital , which include New York, London, Paris and Milan. This has helped me develop my commercial focus and become a more assertive and qualified decision maker. As one of my most vital job responsibilities has been leading and supervising projects from start to the finish product, from choosing the materials, the colours, the patterns, the designs to the execution of the technical orders.
Due to this, I am very comfortable using design programs such as Illustrator, Textil Estudio, Corel Draw and Photoshop as well as computer input programs like Excel and Ekon. Although my job demands self-discipline and autonomy, I have spent a large part of it working in teams. This has taught me the importance of voicing ideas and the invaluable lesson of listening in order to work together and constructively at improving a final product.
