About me

Having just graduated with a degree in Journalism from Stirling University, I have exemplary copywriting and communication skills and am confident in the use of a variety of programmes essential to the demands of this role; Microsoft Office, the Adobe suite, and Macromedia Dreamweaver are amongst those with which I am familiar. I have a lot of proof reading and subbing experience, having edited and reported for my school magazine, and contributed to my university newspaper.

I have a creative flair; I love drawing and working with Photoshop and Illustrator. I used the latter programme and Macromedia Dreamweaver to create my own kids news website, which can be found at the following URL: *.

Prior to my degree, I studied for an HNC in Communication which equipped me with valuable PR skills, and taught me how to use appropriate programmes such as Quark Express. I also recently spent a week on placement at the Teesdale Mercury in Co. Durham; allowing me to put the skills acquired during my degree into practice.
