About me
After graduating with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Interior Architecture at the University of Wales in Cardiff in 2007, I found employment at Lyons, Sleeman & Hoare Architects in Hampshire as a Junior Interior Designer.
During my time at L+S+H, I worked closely with Senior Interior Designers and Architects producing concept sketches, detail drawings, area calculation layouts, and building models. The main client projects that I was involved in here were Marks & Spencer, a large shopping mall in Cologne, and the redevelopment of Wolverhampton town centre and retail & leisure complex.
In January 2008 I relocated to Bristol, where I am still currently employed, and for the past three years I have been soley responsible for the design and co-ordination of all Interiors based projects across all four of my companies offices. This level of responsibility so early on in my career has resulted in me gaining a vast amount of experience and knowledge very quickly. My clients over the past three years have included Nuffield and BMI Healthcare, the Universities of Bristol and Bath, Avon & Somerset Police, and numerous schools and health centres.
With the majority of my projects here I have been involved from initial concept design through to completion, and on a number of occasions I have also pitched for projects and successfully achieved contracts as a result.
I am confident in delivering presentations to clients and am a keen and expressive hand-sketcher.
I have considerable knowledge of materials and finishes and am also extremely familiar with various space-planning strategies, regularly working quickly to achieve solutions to space and circulation arrangement problems. I am proficient in the use of Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Illustrator, and am both PC and Mac literate.
I am keen to work within any area of Interior Design and Architecture, and believe that I have a strong skill base and broad amount of project experience which could be applied to a number of design sectors.
