About me

Hi I'm Lyndal! I am independent, confident and driven towards achieving realistic career goals. I am reliable, ambitious and eager to learn any and all the skill required to develop as a competent and valued asset to the contemporary business environment. As a young design professional I am most at ease when interacting and working with other individuals. I am very definitely a team player and am experienced in leading a team towards pre-determined deadlines in a timeous and efficient manner. With excellent verbal, computer and interpersonal skills, I believe I would be an integral and valued member of any creatively orientated business.

I've recently arrived in the U.K having completed my Journalism and Media Studies degree at Rhodes University, South Africa last year. The last two years of the degree were dedicated to the refinement of skills targeting one of five specialised areas of media. I specialised in Communication Design which focused on newspaper and magazine layout thus I am highly proficient in InDesign and Photoshop. Great attention was dedicated to the understanding and use of typography in print as well as online design yet, the skills which I have aquired during the course of my degree have allowed me to work as a communications designer, graphic designer, reporter and radio talk show host.

As part of this degree I completed a course in flash design and web design and am thus familiar with Flash MX, Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
