About me
I graduated back in 2015 in Graphic Communication. I currently for a great company; MarcoPolo Learning, a children's education app targeted at children aged 3 through to 7.
Before starting my university career I worked for two different graphic design companies exposing me to the incredible creative world, and quickly realised this was the path for me. Loughborough University allowed me to gain a much greater understanding of the adobe programs, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and gave me the opportunity to use traditional methods for design, such as screen printing and hand crafted techniques.
University also helped me become a leader; being a charity rep for my halls of residence for a year, being on a committee that runs 8 overseas events for charity and also being a team leader for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Over my three-year course at Loughborough, I have become highly proficient in Adobe CS Suite, on both Mac OSX and Windows XP. My course allowed me to gain experience talking to clients first hand, working under pressure to tight deadlines to ensure the final product is to its highest standard and becoming a stronger designer. As well as that, with a full-time course that consisted of a lot of studio hours, I am able to comfortably juggle my social and charity life alongside.
I enjoy being apart of creative teams where ideas are able to bounce off each other but am also extremely comfortable working as an individual.
I currently work for a company called MarcoPolo Learning. We have recently launched our brand new app; MarcoPolo World Schoo. This is an educational pre-school app targeted at children 3-7 and uses contextualised learning and a STEAM based curriculum to ensure they are learning the basics before entering the school system, as well as helping them along the way.
