About me

I gained a 2:1 degree in Media Production from Coventry University, and have experience of working in a variety of different multimedia production environments.

I have a broad understanding of camera operation, sound recording and video editing. Throughout my experience in this industry, I've been successful in creating numerous formats and styles of media, ranging from a University news station to short film production. Creating projects for the University News Team in particular, gave me much experience in different media productions, therefore helping expand my production skills, such as choosing the right lighting depending on the location, as well as advancing my skills in pre production, such as preparing a treatment, creating storyboards, creating shot lists and other creative elements.

Working on a project creating a promotional corporate video for a client helped me gain a great amount of knowledge and skills, especially in terms of networking with other professionals, as well as more technical aspects, such as creating an offline edit for the client, listening to feedback and adapting my work to fit the ideas and expectations of the client. Projects such as this one are a great opportunity for me to stretch my creative mind which is something that I pride myself on. I always try to think of new and interesting ways to showcase my skills and abilities, and strive to ensure the company I am working for are represented in a positive way.

My previous experiences working in the media industry have also taught me the importance of being adaptable, especially in the context of working in a team environment or independently. I'm able to focus on my role in the overall team environment, but can also work well individually, using my creativity and skills to create something that I'm proud of.

I have a wide knowledge of a variety of editing platforms, as well as various editing styles and techniques. I am confident in adapting my skills to create different media formats, and how to adhere to said formats conventions, whether that be within the production process or in the editing stage. I am confident in readjusting to any situation, and can keep and stay focused on each project.

I'm able to produce work to an extremely high standard, only creating something that I can be proud to be represented by. I have a strong understanding of content distribution through various video hosting platforms, and the importance of social media marketing and representation. I have impeccable time management and organisational skills, as well as a full UK driving license and my own vehicle. I'm confident, passionate and focused, which results in my work always being completed to a high standard. This job would help me channel my creativity and vast skill set into producing work that I can be proud of, as well as being able to represent the companies brand positively.
