About me

My name is Luke Burley and I am a Product Designer from London, who studied BA Honors Product Design at Central Saint Martins and is currently looking for a fantastic new oppotunity with an established and remarkable studio.
Over the Past year I have been working for the Dutch Promotional company Xindao based in Shanghai, China.

The position at Xindao required me to focus on a wide range of Products such as Bags, Pens, tools, lifestyle items, technology, Eco, packaging, graphics and many more. I have already in this time produced a number of products and packaging solutions that have been carried through from design to manufacture.
I have also worked with a number of clients both from University and working at Xindao, these include Nokia, Case Logic, Nike Grind, Henig Olsen, Platinum Guild, Steripen, OneSource and Hirsh London.

My way of working is very much around making sure I am fully aware and perticular about what I am designing, knowing and paying close attention to every small detail. Whether it be a material chose, a surprisingly smart function, certain molding techniques that mean designs can be produced easily, efficiently and cost effectively but without compromising in the product appearing poor quality. I am very much a designer who doesn't over look anything and is keen on designing products that are simple but have a useful yet needed purpose.
Myself I am a young enthusiastic, ambitious English designer who is open to a whole new lot of challenges and has grown to working well under pressure and with a team spirit in mind.
I am capable with working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with other abilities in 3D Software, rendering and Microsoft Office but with a willingness to learn new programs.

My key strengths and background within design is Product but I also have an understanding of both Packaging and graphic/branding design also. I have a full understanding of the design process, working with factories, gathering samples/prototypes and finding solutions to problems the development stage can create.
