About me

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Lukas Drotar and I respectfully write to you for the reason I would like to apply for the Graphic Designer position. According to my international background I believe that I can provide the work with confidence, using the knowledge that I have gained during my studies and career as the graphic designer.

In the last three years, I was based in Prague where I gained a lot of different opportunities. My first connection with professional graphic design started with the company Lemonade where I was a part of the team that was responsible for creating different identities for companies, brochures magazine covers and layouts.

Latterly I started to work for different magazines where I was responsible for design of the magazines, and design of corporate identity of the company as well.

Thanks to my integration into other fields of design, I had opportunity to collaborate with MAUDhomme, one of the most readable fashion magazines for man in Czech Republic. I was the part of the team that was responsible for creating photo editorials, creating identity, taking the interviews with people that determine design in Czech Republic.

According to my experience I was asked by one of the most famous singer in Slovakia, Dara Rolins, to create templates for her t-shirts, which are going to be presented to the public during her tour around Europe.

During my short stay in London, I had unique opportunity to work for Eva Jiricna Architects. Visualization of the buildings and interiors was one of my key responsibilities.

Overall, to describe my personality, I love challenges, especially being faced with them, which I am always prepared to do! I admire the classic and iconic work, which inspires me, and I always make sure to respect its original style.

In the course of my studies and professional experiences, I have become a reliable independent worker, which is used to work in the team as well. I manage to get a job done on time and effectively. I come up with new and fresh ideas every day from gathering inspiration everywhere I go, staying open to new possibilities and by being a very flexible and communicative person.
