About me

I am a French-native graduate with a degree in Music and Media Management and am interested in the position as it is both well suited to my career goals and fits in with a combination of skills and experience that make me well qualified for the job. Over the past decade, I have built up a solid level of experience in media, especially in branding, digital marketing, project management and communication, including forming and strengthening of interpersonal relationships and consolidation of excellent critical thinking and organization skills.

My most recent position as a Broadcasting Research Assistant has helped me to understand the practical side of one facet of the media industry - Television Broadcasting. Mainly dealing with program metadata, I succeeded in improving relevant image coverage on Sky's various TV guide platforms by 3% across all channels and the correct metadata information by 5% on priority channels, such as Sky channels and terrestrial channels. Working and coordinating communication and expectations between several departments (internal and external) was great fun and am really looking forward to using my skills for a new challenging role.

Previously I have also worked as a translator, project managing English to French translations on a variety of media including print, narrative and educational work. This also lead me to some experience in editing audio and video, as well as voiceover spots where the role required. In other previous roles I held various positions of responsibility, including directly liaising with clients, writing press releases, putting together special event reports and assisting in the creation and implantation of marketing campaigns within promotional events.

My past experience has enhanced my written communication skills as well as reinforced my knowledge of the international media industry, especially during my semester abroad in New York City back in 2009. Similarly, my life-long interest for media, combined with participation in part-time courses, fit well with the majority of modules I studied at undergraduate level. These included “Music & Media Business Enterprise”, “Digital Media Management for the Entertainment Industries”, “Global Music and Media Distribution”, “New Media Genres and Applications”, “Digital Culture”and “Media, Culture and Society”. I feel this experience makes me perfect for the role.

I am a highly self-motivated person, and am not afraid to make difficult decisions nor to take risks. I feel my ability to set goals and focus on achieving them will be a great skill to bring to this job, as well as having a good eye for detail. I am also skilled at working on multiple projects that require strong written and oral communication skills, in both English and French, which I feel are extremely important when succeeding in a position within the media.
