About me
Having recently graduated from Leeds University with a First Class Honours degree in Managing Performance, I am looking to pursue a career in media combining the business acumen and commercial awareness I have developed through extra-curricular activities and work experience, with the flexible approach to tasks and teamwork skills my degree has equipped me with. I am an ambitious, creative student with leadership experience, effective communication skills and broad cultural awareness. Currently working as part of a small events team for a local cafe/catering company (Rafferty's), I am really looking for a new challenge to make best use of the knowledge I have gained during my time at University and the skills I have learnt through my previous work experience. As mentioned on the phone earlier, I have recently completed a work placement at glue Isobar (Aegis Media) which has equipped me with a sound knowledge about the day-to-day running's of media agencies and has helped me to establish that this is definitely the industry I would like to be in.
I believe I am an excellent candidate, combining a keen interest in media and technology with a natural flare for customer relations, communication and organisation.
My relevant skills stem from a blend of work experience: in designing social media strategies as an intern at Me:Mo Interactive; organisation and management skills from my time at Red Yellow Blue; communication and customer relations from my work in events management at Rafferty's.
Devising, organising and running a successful charity fashion show during the final year of my degree (generating over £5,000 of revenues with profits of £2,000 raised for charity) sparked a real passion for advertising/marketing which I am eager to pursue.
