Hello, my name is Lucy, thanks for being curious enough to read more about me!
I am a Senior Brand Designer, with over 10 years experience across a very varied design career so far. I thrive taking any brief from concept to delivery, with a careful hand but also one keen to truly engage collaborators and teams through the process. Evolving those light bulb moments are why I love our craft.
I feel very humbled to have some award winning work including a Marketing Week Awards 2025 for 'Best use of research and insight' for a safety campaign that successfully reduced accidents on the back of solid data-driven and behavioural science insights. On the flip side, internally I have gratefully been voted 'Commercial Champion' by my colleagues, recognition I deeply appreciate. Increasingly I am asked to lead pitches and presentations where I can take the audience through my design and storytelling process. I pride myself on my communication style, attention to detail and ultimately, initiative.
On the back of my multidisciplinary design background, I am used to collaborating across a range of clients, teams with equally varied budgets and constraints. I have experience in hiring, onboarding and mentoring team members and always aim to keep an environment of continual inspiration utilising the latest cultural news and design references. I am always looking to stay on the pulse as our industry rapidly evolves; my recommendations into the nature and use of AI for example has already been requested at within my current employer's higher industry level for consideration.
Through all of my experience, I hold tight to the belief that human empathy is our most powerful tool as designers and something we should bravely hero through our work, alongside a real appreciation for the organic onwards life it will have after it leaves our hands. Considering our impact as designers both environmentally and culturally is crucial for how we shape our future.
