Cover Letter: Lucy Kinsella

Whilst my experience predominantly lies in the Retail Sales Sector I do feel that my skills are transferable and am enthusiastic to move into a sector where my skills will be challenged in a creative environment.

Working with NARS Cosmetics as National Key Accounts Area Manager (Maternity Cover) entails responsibility of 10 teams across Space NK/ John Lewis, 10 Million combined yearly turnover, 71 locations, Delivering structural support to Press/ Event/ Marketing/ Operations/ Training teams.

My areas are currently tracking (YTD) on double digit increases on both last year and against their targets.

Key attributes that I would bring to the role:

- Ability to meet deadlines and to deliver required documents in a timely manner.

- Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with a view to motivate and affect positive development/ change.

- Able to delegate, prioritize and will work with pragmatism.

- Personable with a sound understanding of HR practices and employment rights.

- Will anticipate potential functionality issues and rectify before they come to fruition.

- I am a resilient character who works well under incredible pressure.

Functionality of Role/ Key Skills:

- Store/ Counter Openings.

- Creation of store Event format (open forum to create theater on counter-social media based).

- Facilitation of training for exclusive new launch (Space NK 500 Team members nationally/ 50 Space NK Head office/ Operations Management).

- D-brief following store openings/ evening to improve upon best practices and format.

- Human Resources (NARS Cosmetics did not have a HR department until November): Payroll, Formal contact, Formal meetings surrounding conduct, troubleshooting situations with efficiency to avoid unnecessary use of sparse resources and time.

- Facilitation of 'Role Swapping' (Operations to move into field sales roles for the day to better understand the demands/ challenges of the sales environment).

- Troubleshooting/ Maximizing on Opportunities by Identifying potential issues/ opportunities with in all aspects of the role: Testers, Collateral, Personnel, Staffing, Location of Counter, Competitors launches and activity, Online Retailing, Stock sales in Field v Online, Training and Development, Store and Counter Openings, Counter Builds, Merchandising, Marketing etc

- Communication-This is the largest part of the role: Clarifying expectations, offering information and support, Organisation, Minimizing workload (condensing information and minimizing emails sent), frequent contact with Department Management, Pre-Series visits, Regular visits to each door, Ability to support/ drive retail on the ground in peak trading times.
