About me

My name is Louise Sturrock and I am a MA graduate from the University of Central Lancashire.I am fully trained and extremely proficient in the use of most modern/industry standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, Power Point etc and feel that I could use most industry standard graphic design packages. I have an extensive understanding of design techniques including print and digital processes and have used these skills and knowledge whilst creating a variety of different promotional material, web layouts and corporate identity for a variety of different companies. These designs were created to client specification and corporate guidelines all in accordance with strict deadlines. My most recent position was working as a temporary marketing manager for the company ‘Springfields Fuels Ltd' where I created various promotional posters, leaflets, folders, web layouts, virtual tours etc to promote their apprentice training schemes for engineering, electrical and business administration and helped raise the profile of the skills development department. I am a very creative person with a keen eye for detail, who has excellent communication skills demonstrated whilst working freelance being able to interpreter the clients needs and in various teams including course representative of the MA final year representing team member's point of view.
