About me
I'm a freelance script reader and editor, as well as a professional actress and I have been working in the drama industry for over twenty years.
I love helping writers to develop their scripts and have a few regulars that I have worked with over several years, being their first port of call for early-draft feedback, before going on to edit later re-works in preparation for production.
As an editor I am more experienced with stage scripts, but as a reader, compiling feedback reports for production companies, I have worked across film, TV and stage. Previous employers include BBC (Writersroom, BBC Serials), Impact Pictures, Momentum Pictures and The Old Vic.
I have also run two, monthly script development workshops: SundaySurgery and Open Page (for Stellar Network). Both events staged live readings with professional actors, aimed at providing writers with industry feedback in a chaired discussion. I hosted and programmed the workshops, as well as facilitating the feedback.
Reading and editing scripts involves a high degree of analysis, but also the ability to synthesise that into constructive, comprehensive feedback that is useful to writers, producers or commissioning editors. This is very much my forte and
