About me
I am a dedicated, hardworking designer with a particular interest in typography, layout and printed media. I have an attentive eye for detail and always aim for the highest possible standard. I enjoy working both as part of a team and using my own initiative. I am experienced in using a Mac and confident in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Microsoft Office as well as knowledge of Quark Express, Dreamweaver and fireworks.
My first full time position as Junior Designer for UKIP has given me a stepping stone in developing my career in the creative industry. Although I enjoy my current position I saw this opening as an opportunity to develop my career and further my skills in a more challenging role.
During my time at CGA Creative, I worked on various projects having creative input with the page layouts for elite travel brochures. This gave me industry experience on live jobs and liaising with clients.
I found working for this design consultancy extremely valuable and as a result they invited me back on various occasions for freelance work.
Whilst working for Thomson Local as a Digital Ad Designer, I learnt a great deal about communicating effectively with a wide range of clients. I found this role challenging as it required me to be creative whilst working with difficult people. Due to my calm and polite nature, I felt I was able to overcome these obstacles and satisfy the clients' requirements.
I am now looking to expand my skill base and move forward in my career.
