Dear Octopus Group,
I am writing to apply for the position of Copywriter that you have advertised on Creativepool.
Over the past five months I have been interning at Malcolm Hurlston CBE Corporate Consultancy which deals with media, press and marketing for The Employee Share Ownership (ESOP) Centre and Registry Trust Limited (RTL); two not-for-profit organisations chaired by Mr Hurlston. My main responsibilities include full maintenance of all social media marketing platforms and improving SEO, organising events both in the UK and abroad as well as promoting the events through effecting marketing campaigns. My additional roles include press relations whilst organising and maintaining client relationships with speakers and delegates for roundtable events and conferences; be it in the UK, Channel Islands or Europe.
I have been given the relevant training needed to write compelling script for monthly newsletters, quarterly press releases and website content updates and conducting interview profiles of the Centre's members. I am highly creative and have directed that skill to creating campaigns for upcoming events and designing infographics where appropriate. Furthermore, I launched my own blog last year 'travelling with grace' which received a lot of great recognition via social media channels.
Although originally from the UK, I have lived abroad most of my life and therefore have a very international outlook. My experiences both professional and personal, including journalism experience with Time Out Dubai and The Tab, have given me the relevant skills to provide authentic, original and professional content for a wide variety of sectors and cultures.
I have a proven track record of meeting crucial deadlines through effective time and self-management. I am flexible and adaptable, learn quickly on my feet and pride myself in using common sense when faced with difficult tasks.
My current position will be concluded shortly and I am looking for an opportunity to demonstrate these skills and do a fantastic job for the right company.
